With your eye for detail and figures, as a stock controller you will ensure reliable stock and calm in the operation. As Stock Controller you are the one who brings overview in stock flows and signals deviations in time.
As Stock Controller, you are the specialist when it comes to stock reliability within our organization. You ensure that our physical stock and system stock are and remain in line with each other. You play an important role in our financial reliability, delivery reliability and customer satisfaction.
You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and work closely with colleagues from warehouse, purchasing, sales and finance. With your keen eye, analytical skills and structured way of working, you will make inventory management transparent and manageable. You look not only at the figures, but especially at the causes behind them and think actively about improvements.
What will you do?
In the position of Stock Controller Your responsibilities include:
Inventory Management
- Managing to have the right supplies on site at the right time;
- You take care of the stock administration and monitor stocks. In case of deviations you immediately switch to remedy/adjust;
- Monitoring, optimizing the flow of goods and inventories, in coordination with various internal departments (warehouse, purchasing, etc.);
- Proactively reallocate inventory between stores and warehouse;
- You actively think about increasing inventory reliability;
- You identify bottlenecks and actively address them with stakeholders;
- Perform and coordinate weekly cycle counts;
- Ensure accurate and current stock reflections;
- Timely identification of out of stock risks;
- Analyze and correct inventory discrepancies and monitor data quality in the ERP system;
- Preparation of clear reports for management;
- Identify trends, anomalies and structural bottlenecks.
Service & collaboration
- Function as a point of contact for inventory and logistics related inquiries from other departments;
- Coordinate with purchasing, logistics/warehouse, finance and sales;
- Thinking about and contributing to process improvements within the supply chain;
- Lead or support improvement projects;
- Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and audits;
- Implement improvements in systems and practices.
Operational
- Perform inventory entries that affect the inventory balance, such as goods receipts;
- Organize the annual physical stock count in the off-season;
- Coordinate the annual sample audit by the accounting firm;
- Responsible for inbound of sticker material.
Report
- Weekly reporting of inventory corrections including clear justification per SKU.
Process Control & continuous improvement
- Ensure that processes around inventory movements and controls are current and secured in the management system;
- Continuously improve all activities surrounding stock movements.
Seasonal influence
- At peak or seasonal pressures, in consultation with the Supply Chain Manager, may be asked to temporarily take over duties within the Supply Chain department.
Who are we looking for?
- HBO working and thinking level (Supply Chain/ Logistics);
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages;
- At least 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- Stress resistant and decisive;
- Proactive and thinks in terms of solutions;
- Independent and teamwork;
- Hands-on mentality.
